Terms of service
These terms cover every takeoff you order from Night Shift Bids, a trading name of Night Shift Bids ("we", "us"). By ordering or asking for a free sample, you agree to them.
1. What we do
We prepare quantity takeoffs from the plans you send: counts and lengths of materials, with marked-up plans and a list of assumptions and questions. Each takeoff covers one trade and up to 30 plan sheets unless we agree otherwise by email.
2. What we do not do
- We do not price your bid. You set all material prices, labor, margins and the final bid amount.
- We do not provide engineering, design, code-compliance or licensed contracting services.
- We do not submit bids or deal with your customers for you.
3. Your part
- Send complete, readable plans and tell us the scope, alternates and addenda.
- Only send plans you are allowed to share.
- Check the takeoff before you rely on it. You are responsible for your bid.
4. Timing
Our standard turnaround is 3 business days from the time we confirm the scope by email. We confirm the delivery date for each takeoff in writing. If plans change or addenda arrive, the date may move, and we will tell you.
5. Prices and payment
- Prices are fixed and shown in US dollars on our website. We start work once payment clears.
- A 5-bid pack must be used within the time shown when you buy it. Unused takeoffs then expire.
- The monthly plan covers the number of takeoffs shown, used within 30 days of payment. It does not renew on its own. Unused takeoffs do not carry over.
- Plan sets larger than the stated sheet limit are quoted by email before you pay.
6. Changes, fixes and refunds
- If we made a mistake, tell us within 7 days of delivery and we will fix it free.
- If you cancel before we start a takeoff, we refund it in full.
- Once a takeoff is delivered, our remedy is to fix it. If we cannot fix it, we refund the price of that takeoff.
7. Free sample
One free sample takeoff per company, for licensed contractors, within the sheet limit shown on our website. We may decline a request, for example if the plans are incomplete. These terms apply to free samples too.
8. Limit of liability
Takeoffs are estimates made from the plans provided. Our total liability for any takeoff is limited to the price you paid for it (or $0 for a free sample). We are not liable for lost bids, lost profit, or any indirect loss. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
9. Confidentiality
We keep your plans and bid details confidential, as described in How we protect your plans. You own your plans and your bids. You may use our takeoffs for your own bids.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
